TUTORIAL

ICON TUT OR SOMETHING

BACKGROUND COLORS
Tokio and Mukuro's icons:

Then I RESIZE which is in the 'image -> resize' to 100x100. Something you can do is use the canvas size option if your crop tool refused to get a perfect square for you or if you want to shave off a pixel or two from the side.

The little arrows tell you where the crop is going to be anchored on. So if you want to shave off the top pixel or so, click on the BOTTOM arrow and then type height: 99 or something and it will cut off the top pixel of your icon.

Then we're going to fill the background! Just add a new layer (which is cmd+shift+n if you're on a mac, idk the keyboard shortcut for a PC or you can go up to 'layer' and just do 'new') and then mosey over to your paintbucket. The paintbucket might be hiding under the gradient tool, which just right click it and select paintbucket. And you can also do 'foreground' or 'pattern' (Look up in the toolbar). We're going to use 'foreground' but the 'pattern' option is also really useful! Aviy has some patterns up for DL in one of her tutorials, I think.

I almost always work with my icons magnified to 400 or 500%, but that's a person preference. Also, your icon will look all one color now, that's PERFECTLY OKAY cos Photoshop has a magic option!

For Mukuro's icons, which mainly have background interference ( FROM THIS to THIS you erase the background on your layer with the original picture/the lines.

And then for icons where Tokio or Mukuro has a part I want to color (The eye for Tokio and in one panel Mukuro has an 'aura') I just added another 'multiply' layer and filled in the lines!
