BISHOP LANCE (44)
RP set for
deagingly, who was kind enough to provide the original bases. ♥

METHOD:
- coloured a test icon in bright, bold cel-shade style, then pulled colours from it to set his palette.
- one Overlay layer, filled with brown, to soften the lines
- one Screen layer, using the same brown to colour his eyes.
- all other colours went on a single Multiply layer.
- for regular icons, I filled the background in solidly with dark purple.
- for especially flamboyant ones, I took a stock photo of brightly sparkling water, which I'd screened and brightened to purple, then pasted it over everything on its own Multiply layer.
- for veiled icons, I made one Normal layer, filled in the veil area with white, then reduced the layer opacity to 50%.
